A simple option would be Ophcrack. Can crack almost any windows password within few seconds. Has to be burnt on a cd

nice tutorial. i once messed up my password using the cmd prompt it was not was as i had symbols and special characters in the changed password some how

I just boot up with Backtrack as a live CD, mount all Windows partitions, and crack/reset the Admin password easily thereafter.
ERD Commander's "Locksmith" utility works quite well, so too does Ophcrack.
Anyhow, I'll give this a try and compare It to my methodologies.

Nice share dude, but i'm not sure this is the right section! I will also reccomend Hiren's or Kon-boot.

You can be more discreet
boot on a Linux Live USB
you'll access to all files, and don't have to delete/change password on the computer
/!\ and the best, put your rat/keylg in the Boot Program file of Windows by the Linux inteface, and wait that your "friend" open his account on Windows, you will have the password and he will never know it.
