I would like to just get a well rounded base of knowledge. i might want to start with something simple and work up to something more difficult. i think i want to get into some white and black hat hacking. that would be my main goal.

On the programming note, i would really like to learn to develop for any platform, especially android. i would like to learn code languages and i've also always had an ultimate goal of creating my own computer operating system. i know that's REALLY ambitious but i think it can be done if i want to make a linux distro.

Lastly, Guxi, how useful is python and what are the ways in which it is used?

If you ultimately are going to create your own OS, you will have to dedicate all your life to it. You will have to make research on every little aspect of how a computer works.

You will also have to know some hardcore programming languages, and it will take years to reach that level of skills it will aquire. But i will recommend you to look into what Frooxius have posted on this forum. He is definitely one of the most high quality and highest skilled person i have know. Read all of his tut / threads, and you will have a basic understanding about how much work it will aquire.

When that's said i admire your ambitions, and i would say go for it!

Good luck on your journey, i will be able to answer most of your questions but if you want to go in depth with low level programming and such i won't be able to answer your questions.
