Hi guys,
i just got my degree on html, css, javascript and flash. Im wondering how i can host a website on my pc. I know i only need a static ip, and a domain to be given on this ip, but i dont know how to get them without paying tons of euros to my provider. I can use linux, windows, or any other os (unix or dos).
When i find the answer, i will post it. Please dont remove thread, since i request for a hack actually (not to pay for the i.s.p.).

Install a apache server like XAMPP ( Windows ) for your PC.
Connect to 127.0.0.1 to see your localhost.

Put your files in the ~./Xampp/www/ folder and you will see what you have.
In order to point the domain to your PC you should port forward.

I don't recommend this since you can get free webhosting at various websites.

Thanks to both of you. I hope i can make this. Could anyone tell me how i can make my ip static, or even fake a static ip for my pc? I heard no-ip might do the job! i want to do this from my pc, just to show off to my I.T. teacher, who keeps on teasing me!
