If you don't show us the code, how can you expect us to help? Also, it looks bad.

This isn't about help coding. I'm a genius with that. (I say that tauntingly)
I want ideas for how the animation should look. Fade in, roll in. fade in... 3d flip in
Isn't there a study behind this or something?
I just joined a "UX" Forum ... i'm going to ask those people.
I'm a UX/UI developer as my real job

I wouldn't go too fancy with the animation. A seamless, simple animation would go way better than an elaborate one. Imagine if you're in a hurry to reply or are sending lots of messages in quick succession.

Oh damn. A new issue just came up. What if 10 messages come in? What if it's just 1? They need to have different feels. but this also means they'll need different classes. Wow. this is going to be a bitch. because the amount of items being chucked in effects the animation calculations. which means i'll have to manage <style> elements. discarding animation classes as they aren't needed anymore. ugh.... wow. new garbage alright. let's do this shit.
It's crazy how I have to add this wrapper element in order to get some of these animations to come out right. Throws a wrench in my archtiecture
anyway, yeah. i'm just off at the mouth now. back at it.
