Ok so, when I was using windows I was coding in .NET and have been coding in Visual Basic/s for quite some time now.

And as always, I'm constantly going between which language I want to pick up so I can put down Visual Basic/s, hence how Visual Basic is a "broken language" so to speak, not to mention that I am now using Linux(Ubuntu)

Anyways, so I've been deciding against Python, PHP(Then Python), or C# /or/ C++.. I've looked into Python and it seems pretty easy and all, but I just need some key facts that'll help me stick to one..well simply because my personality is very very indecisive, because how long ive been coding in VB and I'm partially scared to expand, because I'm afraid of I just might not grasp it and so on. So yeah, any help will be much appreciated.

Well my original idea was an booter that ran soley off of PERL/CGI and PHP but then I was told something bout it being impossible, idk. But to further answer your question;

Need: I want a programming language that will be easiest to pick up from .NET(Idc what the syntax is(ruby,python,etc). Along with being easiest compatiable with my previous knowledge I want the language to be powerful as well and have next to no limitiations.

Want: I would like a lang. that can possibly be executed through a browser as well.

You can't really encrypt with PHP, and you really shouldn't be doing it with any interpreted language, but it is possible with most languages.

For your needs, I'd recommend C++, for it's limitlessness, syntactical similarities, and power.

For your desires and your needs, python is definitely the way to go. It's very similar to .NET syntax, has less limitation, is one of the more powerful scripting languages, and is used for web development.

I'd recommend C++ for what you wish to do, although it may be a bit of a challenge. Perhaps learn Python. It's relatively easy to learn and can perform some pretty cool tasks.
