Graduating Magna Cum Laude #1
After transferring universities and moving states it took me a bit longer to graduate. As of yesterday, I got confirmation I'm graduating with Magna Cum Laude.

I started Sinisterly when I was in highschool, so it's awesome I was able to keep it running while focusing on academics.

Good stuff, it's nice seeing the lil star by your name on the grad list for convocation. I guess that's not happening? Sad

There will be a ceremony, just at a later date. I'm not a very ceremonial person, so it doesn't bother me.

Ah I feel you on that. I'm hoping they cancel mine altogether for my master's. Are you planning on pursuing an MBA at some point or is this it for academics?

I've never been academically-inclined, despite receiving honors. I'm glad to be done, so I doubt I'll go for an MBA. I wouldn't say never, though.

@Jiggly got her Masters and it seemed pretty daunting, so congrats on that!

I'm impressed and happy for you. I couldn't even make it into the deans list.

It's also amazing how some of us here also registered during our teens and now becoming adults with degrees. Can you imagine the different kinds of behind the scene struggles in life outside of this community? Amazing

Any plans on graduate school? Biggrin

A lot goes on behind the scenes. Dreams, struggles, relationship problems... I've heard a lot over 7 years. People that were in middleschool when I started the forum are getting jobs or degrees.

On a personal level, balancing SL and academics took effort. There's nothing like getting swatted freshman year or dealing with DDoS attacks during finals week.

Congrats.

After so many years of hard work, you're now reaping the rewards of your degrees.
I couldn't be happier for you.

Nope.

As a witness, I can confirm this stuff was no joke. I'm incredibly impressed and pleased for you Oni. Congratulations!

I'm definitely more academically leaning, and would happily do another ten degrees (if it weren't for the sheer cost). I'd also love to do PhD, but I don't think life (nor my bank account) has that in store for me.

Still, your degree was very challenging, and I wish I could celebrate with you.

Damn! You beast! Good job! That's a huge accomplishment! I can't believe you say you aren't academically inclined. This forum is pretty awesome, I really enjoy it. I never would have imagined a high schooler started it. Keep on slaying it! How is job hunt looking in these times?
Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.
Thanks for all the fun, knowledge, and discussions while I was active! SL really is an amazing community! Keep spreading your knowledge and grow as a community. Smile
