Yes, I certainly agree In terms of receiving a defective unit.

It's hard to Imagine, that Issues were experienced right from the get-go with a brand new laptop.

I'd question whoever you purchased it from, as opposed to assuming all of the products are bad. Sometimes things go wrong in quality control. The manufacturer's response to a faulty product claim can give you an insight into a company you may not have otherwise got. I know I prefer particular brands now, purely because they provided good support when something went wrong. Others... Not so much, and I won't be purchasing from those companies again.

You've made some very valid points.

Although we live In a world of human error and manufacturing/technological defects, from a consumer's standpoint, you'd simply like to get what you paid for. It's not difficult for companies to "measure twice and cut once" so to speak.

This is true. We also assume the company is more than capable of replacing a faulty product if it can't be fixed easily. Most companies operate knowing that is a basic expectation of their consumers.

Agree.

I've had a few faulty laptops over the years, and I didn't experience any Issues with replacement parts or the entire unit.

In fairness. That's more than normal. If parts are coming from abroad (which they often are), you can expect it to take weeks. Nevertheless, it must be very frustrating.

Their Incapacity to provide an ETA on the part, Is totally unacceptable.

You're not asking them to donate a kidney- It's simply an estimated time of arrival, which they'd surely have some Idea of when It's due to arrive In their store.

Be sure to not try and repair It yourself.

If they notice signs of tampering, then It may void the warranty.
