In all fairness, the world has survived worse. As hard as that is to believe. Massive plagues (with no contemporary medicine), world wars... We will get through this.

That's a valid point. Plus, Japan suffered two nuclear bombs in the space of 3 days. Hiroshima on August 6th, and Nagasaki on the 9th. We're now what, just passed 75 years to the day since those bombings? Now they have the world's third largest GDP and are among our top 5 global superpowers.

Terrible things will always happen, it's what we do next that really changes the course of history.

I've seen the videos, it's incredible something like this can happen. I mean storing that much highly inflamable liquid in a over populated area is negligent.
