A phenom isn't getting 100 fps on arma period. I sold my friend a Phenom II x4 965t black edition and he oc'd to 4ghz, he's still at 30 fps. He also has a Radeon 7870ghz (like 3x better than a 650ti)

Is there any benefit to having so many frames per second? I thought the human eye can only perceive so many frames before it just hits a limit and looks the same at any point higher.

In most people, 60fps looks pretty much the same as anything higher than that. Personally, most of my gaming was done in a competitive manner (promod on CoD4, mainly), so I'm able to tell the difference between 30, 60, 125, 250 and 333fps just fine (these are key numbers in CoD4, I won't get in to why). However, if you're getting 60, I wouldn't worry about not getting more.

My bad, I just tested texted him, it's a 660. And actually, they're pretty much the same.

I play promod too buddy.
Also EVERYONE can tell the difference between 30 and 60fps.
And the 660 got ruined because of it's 192bit bus width instead of 256 like the 7870.

I didn't say that. I said that after 60fps, most people don't know the difference.

Any experienced PC gamer can pick out the difference between 60 and 120fps though.

Vouch for this. My mothers computer ran a graphic heavy version of WoW at 120fps average, but after using her computer and going to mine with the same settings that was even about 80, its noticeable and somewhat bothersome.
I adjusted, but its deff not the same.

I've been playing on the PC for the past 4 years, and I still can't spot the difference. It really just depends on how well your eye sight is and how good your monitor is.

No offence but wow. I can easily spot the difference. I usually use snipers so it requires (usually) higher frames, so ive learnee how to spot the difference.

It doesn't make a difference to me, as long as I get 60+ FPS idc. Certain games like Arma I've learned to play at like 40 FPS though.
