Gaming PC Build #1
So I've decided to stop putting it off and finally do something with the half PC I have had in my closet for the past few months
I am looking to turn this into a gaming PC, upgrading what I may need, and using what I already have that would work.

Current components:

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

MSI 785GT-E63 AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

An Unknown CPU that seems almost glued to the heatsink with thermal paste (Cannot separate without potentially damaging the CPU)

Currently working on: Cleaning the unit. Will post pictures of progress and how nasty it looks.

I need information on what would be good parts and upgrades to complete the build and be able to run games decently.

May also look into using it for streaming, but that would be at a very later date.

Anything not listed I do not have, including:
Hard Disk
Power Supply
Graphics Card

As I am not a hardware person, I really don't know much of this stuff and what would be best/compatible with anything else.

When dealing with removing a stuck CPU to heat sink, there can come a point where you have to use a bit of force, but that should never be to pull off or pries up. If you have to use force after the above either twist the CPU very gently gripping as much of two sides as possible and/or drag it off to one side or another.

Have discovered it would not have mattered anyways, pins were bent as per previous owner of the computer. So will need a new CPU as well.

Out of curiosity knowing the CPU was worthless anyways, I decided fuck it and ripped it off.

It was a AMD Phenom X4.

So for any parts list suggestions, now include a CPU as well.

This is currently where I am at with coming up with a build, but I don't want to spend as much as this would cost.

If anyone has recommendations of equivalent products, lemme know.

Want to be able to run at 4K, and this is likely to be hooked into my TV to do so because I can't be arsed buying a 4K monitor.

Its to be used for gaming and movies usually, and maybe streaming in the future, so it does need some performance.

Yeah man solid build. I'd just throw a 240 gb ssd in there and call it good. The rx 480 has display port on there for 4k. Ez money.
