Forget 5G! Samsung Has Started Working On 6G Network Already #1
Quote:While we are still waiting to get our hands on the 5G network and finally use it, Samsung has a farsighted vision and has therefore started with the research work of the next-generation 6G network.

The South Korean tech company has opened a standalone division for the same, known as the Advanced Communications Research Center under Samsung Research, situated in southern Seoul.

A Samsung official said, "The current team on telecommunications technology standards has been expanded to start leading research on the 6G network."

I'm not sure why they'd want this already. Just wait and see what 5G brings first, and if we even need 6G. Just go from 5G first. We're already going to have to build up a bunch of towers for 5G. But 6G would probably be outrageous.

Its not so much that Samsung is beginning implementation, they are just beginning the bare research on developing a next generation wireless technology to surpass 5G. None-the-less, I certainly think that 5G is going to hold true for a good while, then again Korea has had a completely framework of the 5G technology for almost a decade now, and its only just now being brought to market.
