For people in the IT world #1
Something i was always curious about was how your average day looks, I'm curious about any job in the IT field. What kind of problems do you run into? What kind of software do you use? What challenges do you run into? How did you actually get into the IT world? Interview tips? Resume tips? anything IT I'm curious about. I'm serious about getting a better paying job in the field. If there is any information about the IT world that you wanna share you are welcome to.

Problems I run into.

My co-workers who think they know everything, but are actually retarded and have no idea what's going on.
Co-workers clearly virgins, but act like they aren't.
Co-workers are full of teenage angst even though they're in university.

If programming/coding then bugs that you spend weeks to fix.
IT related like PCs, Laptops so on. = Annoying wrong unsatisfied clients that try to explain you what you did wrong when eventually you know what's going on but their too dumb to understand.
As @pvnk said in his list the co-workers... sometimes you can have really crap co-workers in some places co-workers are the best. Depends where you get in to.

How did both of you go about getting into the field? what certifications did you have, what did you put on your resume? what did you wear to your interview?

Well I was into IT since I was like 13. I liked computers how they work the fact that you can modify them etc. Eventually I grew up with IT in my head started studying.
Your resume should be simple I guess. It's your choice how it looks as long as it looks clean and easy to read but at the same time interesting so employer don't get bored half way reading it. You can get some ideas from here http://www.hloom.com/download-profession...templates/
The way you dress is your choice too. Of course don't dress all swag and go with 9 chains on your neck say sup boss when do you I start.
Dress casual. Shirt, Tie etc.
Since I don't really like wearing Suits. I just dress casual/formal.
If you feel like you should wear a suit. Then go for it.

I got in the field via my university.

My resume is actually fairly decent, but I just wore my t shirt to my interview. The guy didn't even interview me, he just asked for my schedule and hired me.

Tiny, tiny mistakes or problems that ruin the entire picture.
