Not exactly "flat" due to the fact they use shadows and an inner glow, but they look nice.
The icons used also contradict the "flat"

They're nice, but I don't quite get the name of them. You seem to have named the set "Flat Userbars" yet, they use Bevel and IG. Which is a way to make something look like it is popping out of an image, creating a 3D'ish effect... What I mean, is that they don't look flat, they rather look 3D'ish. But they are nice either way.

They don't look all that flat to me, but they don't look bad.

They don't really fit DB but they look nice.

They're simple yet effective which is sometimes the best way to go. although they're not really very flat.
I give a 7/10. They could be better but for what you're trying to go for they're great. mile:

I think of flatness as actual 2D. Just plain text, no gloss or anything.

Gloss can still give an outing or 3D effect.
