FDA Warns People Not to Make Chicken with Nyquil #1
Due to memes, the FDA had to issue warnings not to marinate chicken with Nyquil (the cough syrup). Don't eat Tide pods either.

It seems that as a result of them issuing the warning, more people are trying to make the sleepy chicken:

Would this qualify as the Streisand effect?

There is a saying... "there is no such thing as bad publicity."
Whether or not the publicity is positive or negative it will only serve to draw more attention to whatever it is being publicized.

'There is no such thing as bad publicity' is the notion that all mentions in the media aid a person's cause, even if they put them in a bad light.

Lets just pray the public doesn't find out about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide.

Its incredible that people keep coming up with these stupid ideas. Even worse, that people are following them.

I'd say so. I'd never even heard about it until the FDA made the announcement.

The way the Youtuber describes liver failure is enough to make you not want take acetaminophen, let alone heat it.

Love how that article tries to the professionally talk about where this came from: "in 2017, a user who went by “cock” posted a series of photos of boiling chicken tenders in green NyQuil"

Beyond the original meme, how many people have actually done this? I've seen a lot of posts where someone says "omg people are stupid and actually doing this" but then I never actually see or hear of anyone actually doing the stupid thing.
