I haven't used social media regularly in years. I might log in a couple times a month to speak with old friends, but it's not worth the attention. Asides from important life events, I do not see the need to share everything.

I've found facebook to be used more by very young teens... or older people in my family. It's an odd experience. I used facebook a bunch in my teens, but probably would never look at it again if it weren't the main way certain people contact me.
Social media is ok to an extent. As with anything, too much can be a bad thing.

I tried detoxing from FB but I soon realized that most of the people I converse with in real life are on their and it’s the only place where they share.

I've had so many groups and accounts permed by Facebook that I don't even really go on there much anymore. I use to be addicted to where I would spend hours a day just browsing Facebook and making a name for my groups/pages but I found out it's not worth it.

You as the "little guy" could literally download a video from a page that's got 500k + likes "big guy" and post it to your own page and get banned for it and then report thst same video and they will send you an automated reply saying the video doesn't break their TOU.

On one of my pages I got pretty big and they offered me like 20 bucks in free ad credits if I spent 20 so I ended up doing it and promoting a "Fight Video" video for the page and after the ad ran out of credits they banned me for the that same video they was advertising.

There are a lot of social media / communication based platforms that I enjoyed in their earlier days, but very much dislike nowadays. Facebook and discord being prime examples. Once upon a time, Facebook was not supposed to have ads at all... Now it's a different story. I'm not sure I like what Facebook is nowadays, not that I liked it that much in the first place xD
