Ever played Streets of Rage on SEGA Genesis? #1
Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever played Streets of Rage on the old SEGA Genesis?
I remember playing it a lot... same for a other street fighting game (Can't remember the name)..
I really liked those games and played it over and over again.

Did anyone play it or any other game like Sonic and stuff?

I have Streets of Rage, not the standalone cart, but I have the "6-Pak" cart with Sonic 1, Golden Axe, Revenge of Shinobi, Columns, Super Hang-On, and of course Streets of Rage - it's a fun game with some cool music but I just never took the time to run the whole way through it.

I've played a good few of the other Genesis games, have a Model 1 which is a nice little system, and while my collection isn't that big (14 plain carts, 2 CD titles, 2 32X titles) I like it a good bit. Splatterhouse 2 and Splatterhouse 3 probably have the most playtime on them, I love the original Splatterhouse game, and DOOM on 32X and Virtual Hydlide have got a good bit of playtime from me. The rest like the Sonic games, Shaq-Fu, Earthworm Jim, etc. are fun but I've either played and beat them on other systems or just never played through them.

For another street fighting game... maybe Final Fight? Final Fight is on SNES or in the arcade and plays pretty much the same, dunno which came first but if you weren't paying too much attention you could get the two confused. Double Dragon is the only other beat 'em up I know, but that was NES/SMS or any of the 80s home computers.

I love my gens, sadly, most of the games I find are sports games. The gens does have a fairly large libary of shumps, but those are harder to find.

I found the game that I was thinking about, it is actually called Streets of Rage 2.
Sonic 1 and 2 are amazing too! But I couldn't get past the casino level.
There was also this game called Golden Axe, I always liked to get on the dragons and spit fire on people.
And there was this game called Altered something... that was a pretty fun game too.
There are so many games I need to remember, all great games.

EDIT: Gunstar Heroes, perfect fun game.

Golden Axe is a classic hack 'n slash game, I always liked it because it looked like Conan and played fine but I would suck at it.
Streets of Rage 2, I've heard it's a pretty good sequel. For what I understand 1 and 2 are OK but 3 isn't all that great, but I haven't played it myself.
Altered Beast are you talking about? Little sidescrolling game, something about being reseructed by zeus to save his daughter and you get those power orbs and you turn into the humanoid beast thing. Tt was an early title if not a launch title, and I know a good few people like it.
Also, Gunstar Heros is a fun game, a lot of the titles done by Treasure are fairly highly regarded as good games since they were ex-konami I think, I've been looking for a cartridge myself but I can never find one locally or for a decent price.

Do you know by any chance this game's name?
As far as I can remember you are a duck or something with a katana and there is a jungle level.
