Now, I know most of you here are very familiar with Anime, and I also know that some of you will notice the acronym "OC".

Now, I'm not speaking of Sonic recolors, no no.

What I'm speaking of is something entirely different. Now, I myself partake in Roleplay. As cringe as that may seem to some of you, I take my Roleplay quite seriously. When I create a "post", I make sure to use of my extensive vocabulary in order to fully immerse the reader. This style of RP is known as "Novella" and as the name suggests it reads like a novel.

Anywho, the OCs I'm referring to are completely original characters with full backstory, appearance, motivations etc etc.

Though, the best part is creating OC's meant for RPF (Roleplay Fighting, which is lot more in-depth at higher levels of Roleplay). With these OCs you can create individual powers for your character, similar to characters in Shounen type Anime/Manga.

Now, onto the subject at hand. How many of you are familiar with this? And how many of you have created an OC such as the one I described here. If you'd like to view an OC I've created, feel free to ask and I will link the Google docs page for you to view at your own leisure. Note that I am not finished with this OC per se. It's quite solid as it is now, but I always add to it once I think of suitable ability ideas.

It's quite fun once you get in the groove.

It's nice to see your ideas being made physically. You can take inspiration from anything, it doesn't have to be Anime/Manga based. I've seen Marvel and DC based OCs before, some of which were very well done and thought out.

I used to somewhat do this back in high school but haven't since. I even drew the OC but most likely don't have the drawings anymore since I was throwing out old highschool stuff once college started.

Not entirely since it's been nearly five years. The setting however was a bit back in time with the medieval era along with magic and spells. The characters also have unique set of armors as well that serves different types of enchantments.

Sounds like the type of OC I'd create if I was going for a medieval setting.

Oh my, It's interesting to see somebody else on the site who knows what an OC is. I never really got into RP per se. My friends and I in high school made a whole bunch of OCs. Many of which were based on the Maximum Ride comics (cringe if you will). She actually went on to create comics and we made backstories etc.

My current avatar image on this site and most others that I use, are of my main OC. I made a few drawings (that I do not have access to on this machine), and made many commissions from other digital artists of it.

I cringed really fucking hard going back and reading it, but there's an old thread of mine from 2014 regarding some RWBY OCs I made (link, click at your own risk).
There's a sketchbook somewhere (that I probably don't have anymore) with some decent drawings of the first four, but iirc I never gave them the signature crazy RWBY weapons or back stories.
