So this whole forum is comprised of hackers who for the most part respect each other to the point of giving guidance and sharing information? please tell me this is true. i will have found heaven.

Yes correct, as we say "Sharing is Caring", Ethical Hacking is not just about hacking, It's about learning, implementing and sharing what you've learned so that others can benefit from it too.
