[ElementaryOS] Left Click Stops Working? #1
My left click in ElementaryOS stops working until I disconnect and reconnect the mouse, and then it works for a few mins before going out again. Mouse is not the problem as it works flawlessly on W7 & W10. Any fix ideas?

Was the mouse functional (on the Elementary OS) at any point? Have you tried different USB ports?

Does a completely different mouse work?

Hasn't been functional more than 10-15 mins. Have tried other USB ports and a second mouse. Same issue.

On these grounds, I'm trying to establish whether It's the OS Itself or the PC.

Although a mouse Is PnP (plug and play), download the latest drivers. If that fails, Install a VM with a different OS altogether on the Host (Elementary OS) system and see whether the Guest (VM) OS Is functional.

Will try this!

It's the Intermittent loss of mouse functionality (on an active basis), that somewhat has me at a loss.

It does come down to a process of elimination.

Should I try a different distro?

Definitely.

If It's the distro Itself (or some misconfiguration) causing the Issue, this will conclude that the OS Is responsible.

Sounds like a Synaptics issue, try running lsusb for us. Maybe check for related log messages?

Elementary OS... Isn't great... It has a nice UI and all, but it's based on Ubuntu, which is a garbage distro
