What drugs should be legalized?
If legal, should they only be available medically?
If illegal, should they be decriminalized?
Should users be punished or treated as "sick" people?
Should dealers/distributers/manufacturers be punished?

I think:

• Marijuana should be legal, and taxed like any other crop.
  
• Marijuana should be available, like any over-the-counter medicine.
  
• Drugs like Ecstasy, Mushrooms, and LSD should be decriminalized (or at least treated as more minor misdemeanors).
  
• Drugs like Cocaine, Crack, Methamphetamine, and Heroin should be illegal like they are now.
  
• Users should be treated differently from other convicts (murder, theft, assault). Maybe rehabilitated?
  
• Small-scale operators should receive minimal sentencing compared to organized crime operators. Nobody should be in jail more than 3-5 years (unless you're Escobar, or something).

I meant more discretely. I thought CVS or wallgreens when he said "over the counter." I was thinking like specs where they card you at the door.

addiction should be treated as a public health issue and these people should get the help they need and deserve

You've made some very valid points, particularly with Marijuana.

It's used medically to treat a wide range of deficiencies and diseases, so I don't see why (when Issued as per It's recommended dosage) It Isn't legalized In all parts of the globe.
