Dropshipping? Worth it? #1
I've been reading up on some dropshipping stores and I'm not sure if its worth getting in to. Is it even worth putting the effort in? How do you get paid through shopify? What happens if the person doesn't get what they wanted? Im just not confident enough to spend money with the process yet.

To get into dropshipping these days you really need to have a good, unsaturated niche or it won't be worth your time at all. A few years ago you could drop ship literally anything and someone would buy it, but with so many people trying to sink their teeth into it you need to find something that a bunch of people want that they can't find. I'd recommend finding a medium size niche DIY subreddit and finding a product or line of products that they'd be interested in that they can't reliably get in whatever locality the subreddit is oriented for. For example, /r/HomeLabs constantly complains that they can't find decent priced server rack rails in the US and they have to usually go picking through wholesalers. If you could source cheap rails, you could advertise it to them and make bank.

I have a facebook group of about 8,000 people who are about 1 topic. They are all active and its an exchange group. Would it be worth bothering with this?

The more I looked into it, the more saturated it seemed. A LOT of niche's already taken. I want to start my own business of sort but not sure where to start.
