Last night the forum suffered from a series of attacks. Fortunately, this gave us a chance to beef up our site's defense, and shouldn't happen again any time soon. Occasionally downtime happens, but we'll always come right back up. Additionally, after the attacks we had improperly configured one of our virtual private servers and it led to a bit of further downtime. As these were simple distributed denial of service attacks, no information was compromised, and the site will function just as it had before.
