I was using my dads computer before they even had Windows... lol Smile but yea. I remember 3.1. Even though I wasnt old enough to buy my own computer, my friends mom had one, my dad had two or three... my mom wouldnt let me touch the one at their home, that environment was pretty nazi ... controlling and unhealthy to say the least. I was 10 years old when I first touched a pc so that would be 1991... IDK the first windows OS I was using, I do recall the IBM Aptiva, my best friend had one, not to mention break a few laws with it too... laws that didnt exist at that time. I dont need to admit to any specifics here... but lets just say I was doing shit I didnt know what it was, and didnt really think about it till now. thinking back, and I do NOT consider myself a hacker or anything of the sort... but we were all testing the net out like others. pretty cool I too, was a part of that.

Downgrading isn't too bad. There may be security flaws and such but if done properly, you'll be safe. I'd recommend configuring the built-in firewall to where nothing goes outbound/inbound unless you make a rule for it. That way if you were to be infected or something, it can't communicate back to home.

Disable updates completely through registry, which should fix continuing problems. Usually there are issues with drivers, and the 'Refresh' option in boot options should fix that with new windows os.

If you're referring to Windows Updates, disabling that very service (Windows Update) and the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, will prevent their Installation entirely.

Yes, and i've had no issues or errors, Events Viewer is always clean. Windows boot up options and refreshing windows has always worked fine.

This Is the first time In quite a while, that I've read a member who's In support of disabling Windows Updates.

I haven't performed any In over a decade, and my systems are running at their optimal state. I've got better things to do than wait for the good old "Working on updates 10% complete do not turn off your computer" to finalize- only to find It does nothing but waste my previous time.
