Unicorns don't exist. Everybody knows that. Do we have proof they don't exist? No. They just don't. Same reasoning could be applied for God.

That's incorrect, there is no evidence for unicorns to have existed outside of folk tales. There are historical documents of Jesus existing (although that doesn't prove that God exists)

I am not trying to get you to convert, but I am trying to get you to understand that you can't prove that God isn't existant

I believe God was a person, yes, because that's exactly who we are, people. Prove to me he's this all-mighty god who created us?

Scientists have sufficient proof of the Evolution theory, so where's even the slightest proof of your precious little God? You have none.

I've said this before, but I guess I'll say it again. Proof for the theory of evolution does not discredit the existence of a God. There are actually plenty of Christians who accept the theory of evolution.

And comparing religions with unicorns isn't all that fair. Tongue

Prove that he didn't? If this thread is going to be back and forth, I'm going to close it. We've already established that neither side has proof. Now all you are doing is questioning credibility. Tongue

Prove he didn't? There's no proof he did, while scientists have the Evolution theory. You're not getting it.
Atheism has SOMETHING while religions have NOTHING. Since there's no absolute proof for either side, I present the Evolution theory, which is something to be accounted for. Now let's see you bring even the slightest bit of proof to the table.

I don't knock religion because if it makes people feel comfortable and safe by believing that a super-being exists then fair enough. I personally am a non-believer at least until I have concrete evidence that a god exists. Until then I will carry on following science which produces solid evidence (most the time)

There isn't any proof of human evolution. Or of the big bang. Or gravity. They're all theories. Scientists are pretty sure they are right, but they can't prove it.

There isn't any proof either of the two Christian explanations for the world beginning are true. There isn't any proof Jesus was the son of God. There isn't any proof that Jesus didn't walk on water, cure the sick, rise from the dead, etc. Christians are pretty sure they're right, but they can't prove it.

See the similarity?

You should probably go look up the definition of a scientific theory and then return to this thread.

In science, something is called a theory when no counter-examples can be found, but it cannot be proven the principle is always true. A proven principle is known as a Law.

Yes, but the comparisons in your previous post are so far off when talking about the experiments and research that goes in to forming them. I don't even think that it should be compared. And I wish I wasn't on a mobile device so I could discuss this further.

Religion was created so we could have "less bad" things happen in the world. To be honest im really surprised the route the human race took on its path of evolution. But is it really worth it to ask such a question. So what if a god exists. Why should we praise him if half of us don't even praise our mothers or fathers. They created us to and some people could give a damn about there parents. So why should we worship a god. Like I said religion was created for peace. We wanted the humans to last longer. But they decided to kill and hate others if they believed something else. Or even looked different. Tbh if Christians are right. Every person on earth would go straight to hell. I personal think religion is just a set of laws to follow and to give you a person to look up to and give you hope in your time of need. I actually follow a religion. But its manly so I can keep my set of rules. But like I said religion is used to hurt others. It really wasent designed that way. But not everything works out the way its supposed to am I right.
