Yeah! First guy, I dated he was cute and everything I just really wanted to meet him but he lived up in Canada.

I'd argue there are different challenges to online/long distance relationships than in real life. I will say, online dating lead me to someone much more well suited, though they were the other side of an ocean. You can just as easily find terrible people online, as you can in person. One positive of online dating, is that you will more than likely meet people through similar interests (such as video games, on a common website etc). In real life, you'll often meet people through the pure chance of being in the same place at the same time. I've found my friendships online share more common interests, than any in real life.
I agree. I've seen some friends get wrecked by ldr. They were travelling back and forth across the border a few times a year and they usually lose the spark. It's bound to happen I think.
