The question Is "Is our existence a dream?".
What defines/separates a dream from reality and vice versa?

Dreams are interesting to me. I watch the thinker a lot and can be lucid in my dream state. Another distinct experience I have had involved a much more elaborate experience which itself was not a dream but did occur while in a meditative state. Energy knows no bounds, because the entire universe is made of energy. the fundamental field physics apply everywhere. It is timeless. WE do not die nor live... by our own definitions. Only those who can travel this deep inward will understand what I speak of. Those who have been there, because simply, words cannot describe. and as soon as I start to talk about it, Ive gone back into a wakened state.
Anyway, its important to understand, but I wont push it on anyone. I just want to encourage self exploration and curiosity in the minds eye.

When I "clearly" remember my dreams, at times, I find It difficult to distinguish from reality.
That Is, I'm questioning whether It was In fact a dream, or a real-life experience.

I can say that when I dream, its normal. some seem real but I know Im dreaming. there have been a few "dreams" where this wasnt the case, and was more than the lucid experience. not only did I leave my body, I left what we would say, this dimension. Coming back felt like I was falling and falling, as I woke screaming and soaking wet. Only a few had been like that. Im not sure people are ready to hear about what happened, nor am I sure I am ready to say... but I will say, that all this here, that we experience everyday, is just the play, a show... its all a stage and we are the players. Not much I can say about it. at least while not talking from the ego. Its something you have to experience.
coming back, and bringing that information... and not knowing how to translate it, to help others relate. shit... to even help myself understand what just happened. lets start there shall we? fuck...
If someone wanted to seek... I would strongly suggest reading into quantum mechanics and its implications. study neurology as well as it all literally, is coming from our minds, programmed by our hearts intention. Our minds, collapse wave functions. so we influence the outcome... now, this isnt to say we command the univese, but if you start to observe, the mastering of observation, you will see it happen for you. start small. try to attract a cup of coffee or a conversation to go with it. maybe you want a little extra money, what ever it is. you can attract with this understanding.
Music lead to me intensely "training" my emotions. I didnt realize this was occurring, was totally unaware it was automated, till I was ready. I think the light comes on for us when we are ready to accept it. and not till then. but we are all the same, we are all here for the same reason, we all come from the creation - source, and we all return to the same unity. the field,. singularity - if you will.
as far as I can tell, the term GOD... is a state of being. and yes, we can achieve this, we can achieve whatever we create, heaven or hell. I have had my experiences with both realms. Clear and decisive distinctions both occupying the same line, on either side of 0. Various ranges from 0 will allow a change in the laws of physics, or at least to what we perceive as different laws of the univese. They arent seperate laws. OUR math is wrong... but we are close to what I would say, could be an approximation.
Everything we think we know, is a lie, and everything that is real and true, is hidden from us, unless we seek it, unless we give everything up for it. and must never falter. If i can do it, any one of you can...

Ive read somewhere that its not always what you see in your dreams but the emotions that you experience while having them. Sometimes I rememeber my dreams but when I do they never make any sense

I think it would be odd to refute any claims to meaning in dreams. When I say this, I mean it can be reflective of mood/psychological state. Or sometimes you replay something you've experienced recently.
Personally, I pretty consistently have strong, vivid dreams. Many dreams are recurring dreams, which I've began to link to my emotions/state of mind as I've gotten older. For example, when I'm feeling more stressed, I frequently dream about a stressful period during my undergraduate art course, where I haven't done enough work before a gallery show, and I'm playing catch up, while everyone else notices my failure.
Dreams can also be affected by the food or drink you've had during the day/right before bed. That "don't eat cheese before bed" thing isn't a myth.
