RE: Do you judge people by looks? 01-02-2014, 07:44 AM

I feel like the vast majority of people carry strong premonitions of people based on looks, especially subconsciously. Think about it like this: Imagine you're walking in a dark alley at midnight. You see an older man, with ill-fitting clothes a trench coat, and he looks like he isn't so pleasant. Even though you may not consciously think about it, you probably start to make a few changes. Maybe you walk on the opposite side far away from him, maybe you turn around. You didn't try to judge this person by their looks, but its just something that society has taught you. You see this person as dangerous. Now maybe some of that was situation based, seeing as it was a "dark alley." But I would guess if it were the same situation, and you walked past a small, younger girl, you probably wouldn't feel as threatened, right? So all I'm saying is, because of society people a pre-disposed to have views on people, depending on how they look.
TL;DR
Even subconsciously people judge people by their looks, making assumptions about said-persons personality(sadly.)
