I was baptized but I dont associate myself with any religion anymore. I haven't made my mind up on whether I believe in a higher power or not though.

If God is as the bible says, Omnipotent - (all powerful). Then can he create a Rock So Big that God himself cannot lift?? IF he can create this rock, then God is not all powerful because He cannot lift the rock. If he can't create the rock, then he is not all powerful as he cannot create it.

I believe people created the image of god intentionally to cope with the hardships of life...
Seriously, I'll break it up like this:
What would you rather believe in?
a. A mystical being that guards us from above
b. Years and years of research and proof that living beings adapt according to the changes in their natural habitat

This is quite a deep subject for me, just because I have such strong views on it. I don't believe in god as a person, or "holy spirit" who created the world in 7 days, made humans and blah blah blah. I believe in god as belief itself. Something for someone to put all there's hopes on, to pin all their blame on when things can't be explained or go wrong. "God" as a status has developed into such which can be blamed for so much, but not actually raise too much controversy between followers themselves. This is why I believe that God is just a matter. Something for someone somewhere to believe in.

I believe there is a god yes.
But I don't believe he is as powerful as religion say he is.
Even tho I believe in religion I don't believe in every single thing they say.
Bone, crushing, smooth, kicks
Blades, chopping, through, bricks
Master of the weaponry, sells to both clicks
Blacksmith, with the Iron Fists
-U-God.

My arguments for God being real:
If there's no God, who changes traffic lights?
If there's no Heaven, where does lightning come from?
If God isn't real, how does the American flag have 50 stars and America have 50 states?
If god isn't real, then why do the catholic priests get all the cute boys?
If god isn't real, then how do leaves stay on trees even though there is gravity?
And finally...
If god doesn't exist, who wrote the bible???
Now that's what we call a check-mate!

Very tough. Very Very tough. But in my case, no. I do not believe in god. i believe very strongly in science, but there is always a "god" in your life, it can be a scientific thing, some force that caused the world to begin. But humans will always believe in something bigger, because that makes them feel secure, because then they would not need to make decisions, and it gives people confidence in whatever they are doing.

I personally am Buddhist, but I take certain values from other regions and incorporate them into my own life as I see fit.
