I just want your opinion on this:
Do Apps help you or just waste your time?
Honest and open opinions, please.

Uh, what do you mean by Apps? I mean like whats the point of a computer or smartphone/device that has no applications? So no... applications dont waste my time. They get put to good use as they were designed to do.

If it makes things faster and more efficient then hell yes! However, if you keep using tools you don't truely learn how to hack so lately I've been trying to do everything manually if possible. I can happily say its been doing me well.

Applications are a necessity.
Without applications, regardless of what purpose or operating system they are built for, are a must for any IT related field if that field is to prosper by the very definition of "application".
Were it otherwise, a superior invention would hold sway over the very applications made for and in this day and age.

I think it depends.. Tools should not be a replacement for the understanding of the manual approach. If you only know the tool but does not know the manual approach the tool/app may slow you down or stop you completely.
I've had a few situations where sqlmap hasn't been able to extract any data. But when I've then approached the target manually I've been able to extract what I needed
