Did the top fall? 12-15-2014, 07:49 AM

So I finally put some time aside and watched Inception. I fucking loved it. I love movies that mess with peoples' brains and really think outside of the box. If you haven't watched Inception, I recommend watching it. It's great.
Anyways, in the ending scene Cobb spins the top he uses to detect if he's in a dream and sees his kids and teacher. Then the scene cuts leaving the watcher to decide whether Cobb got out of limbo and sees his family or never made it back out of limbo and is forever doomed to live within his dream. I personally think that the top fell over, I hate movies where the main character loses is "battle". I'm a big sucker for plots like that. To be honest, I'm quite happy that Christopher Nolan leaves the ending scene up for discussion just to keep the watchers thinking after the movie.
So what do you users think? Does Cobb's top fall over or not?
