I have to say that the first episodes of Pokemon get me so nostalgic.
I remember when my friends and I got an Action Replay for the DS. (It's like a Gameshark but a little different).
I had Pokemon Pearl, and both of my friends had Diamond. So we went out and bought another copy of Pearl and transferred all of the Pokemon that we wanted to keep to that one. Then we restarted our games and used the Action Replay to give us any Pokemon that we wanted to as our starter. I had chosen Gastly, my one friend chose Magikarp (he gave it tackle so it didn't just have splash. Otherwise he wouldn't have got anywhere in the game.) And my other friend chose Abra. We also made them shiny. It was the best play through of any Pokemon game that we ever had. I miss those days.
