I haven't changed much from my previous setup. dwm now shows the date, I have added the alpha patch for st, I  now use picom for the shadows and that sweet blur effect on my terminal and the browser. I probably will add some custom css rules to qutebrowser so that it syncs up with my colorscheme.

I used dwm for a while but i had an issue with the compsitor or something so I switched to awesome. I think awesome is better because you can script a lot of the things in lua and it just matches what i'd want check it out.

Since I use dmenu & st, I've tried using dwm in the past, but it just takes too much work to configure. And even then, I can't get everything to look right. I just stick to bspwm.

Used to have a bunch of Rainmeter skins, been keeping it simple.

I have to say, I think the visualizer is a really cool addition to your desktop. Is it like some sort of app, which syncs the visualizer to currently playing music, and then displays it on the desktop? If so, I'd love to know the name

Incidentally, this is my own desktop at the moment. It ain't much; just a few playlists, a few documents, a few games, and one Windows 10 ISO image that shouldn't be there

Based gentoo user and asuka enjoyer. I loved gentoo, probably my favorite distro I have ever tried, but compiling things like qtwebkit took waay to long. My CPU is powerful, but I need more RAM (I only have 16gb) to use up all the cores efficiently. I plan to either come back to gentoo or try out gnu guix once I get a hardware upgrade (mainly get rid of my nvidia graphics card and get more ram).
