Denied Higher Upload Limit For Bronze & Up Users?

I tried uploading a new profile picture which I had to upscale to make it look better, and I wasn't able to upload the upscaled version of my image. In total it was only 1.5MB which isn't very much. I've also had the same problem with gif files. Maybe for Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum/Diamond users you could increase the file size limit?

I don't see the Increased file size capacity having a negative Impact, so I agree with this suggestion.

I've raised the avatar limit to 500kb for everyone. Unfortunately we probably aren't going to host GIFs that are larger than that. People are welcome to use Imgur for that.

What you're asking is somewhat different than the subject of my thread. And you've also gravedug my thread. Next time make a new thread.

To give you an answer, all you need to do is go to a cloud service and upload your files there. You should also make a VirusTotal scan of your file. Then, post the link to your VT scan, amd your download link.

Great suggestion. @Jiggly sent me the signature I am to put since she won my giveaway but it (the gif) was way too large, perhaps @Oni can extend that too not just for the avatar spacing.

I hate saying "no" to suggestions like these, but they normally require edits to core files for MyBB. I normally try to keep these kinds of edits down to a number that I can count on both hands. After 8 years of running the site you can imagine how many modifications we have to maintain every time there's an update. I'll examine how much space we have and consider raising the number for everyone, as that would be easier.

Couldn't agree more with this suggestion, however I believe it should be limited with the current upgrade you have.

This is slightly different from what the thread means. However, that was my bad for forgetting what the dimension limit was!

Thank you for your hard work with this. I've seen first hand how many hours you put into SL because of stuff like this.
