Denied Add chat feature

I think it would be pretty good if we would have a chat feature where people can talk about different stuff, you can add categories aswell, such as general chat / marketplace / threads etc.

The reason i think this idea is useless is because the forum already has a Discord Server (available on the header of most pages of the forum)

IM and chatboxes are great for quick communication, but they lack substance. We're a forum at our core and these sort of things detract from that. I've already thought about deleting the Discord before, so adding a chat isn't on the agenda. We've used Cometchat and shoutboxes before, so this isn't a new stance.

Didn't even notice, lol. I don't love 100% discord, but it's better than nothing.

i mean until people can talk live to other members thats good, its better than using sinister.ly's DM system (even though its not bad, for a quick chat its not the best lol)

It's been suggested many times and declined.

If It were a decade ago, I'd agree with this suggestion.

It's probably been 5+ years since we've had a shoutbox or chat.
