DNS-CHANGER, is your computer infected? #1

Update on March 12, 2012: To assist victims affected by the DNSChanger malicious software, the FBI obtained a court order authorizing the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to deploy and maintain temporary clean DNS servers. This solution is temporary, providing additional time for victims to clean affected computers and restore their normal DNS settings. The clean DNS servers will be turned off on July 9, 2012, and computers still impacted by DNSChanger may lose Internet connectivity at that time.

Read the same thing off here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/20...41260.html

So basically there's a bunch of massive botnets (which have been around for a long time) out there. The FBI is flipping out about it now because they are making a lot of money through "an online advertising scam" or offering a service to bring views to peoples websites or clicking on their own ads with some zombies but mostly visiting to keep their CTR low. I wonder how much they've made so far.

There's a tool made by Avira to scan your DNS and repair it if it's changed.
