DELL BIOS PW REMOVAL/BYPASS #1
A customer just brought in a Dell Inspiron N5050 that his wife forgot the BIOS PW. In the past I have bought the unlocks on eBay but my account is currently suspended. does anyone have any tips of where I can access a unlock code generator? I'm currently going through the 'backdoor' bypass pass-lists. Any help will be much appreciated!

Unfortunately, I'm experienced with most things computer related except for BIOS stuff. Although I'm more than positive @Ecks can help you out. If there's anything else you need assistance with be my guest. Good luck with this.

I'm pretty sure you just have to reflash the BIOS. Just google how to do it with whatever computer you have. Hope I could help, and hope you get the password removed!

Thanks for the advice, I do have a SOIC8 clip for in-circuit re-programming.. just opting for the least invasive methods first. I found THIS generator but no dice. If I'm unable to bypass it with a generated code, I will either reprogram the chip or just settle my ebay balance and buy one from people who sell the bypass codes there

Thanks for the response! I'll post the conclusion when I'm done.

I've done plenty of them before, just seeing if I could gain and valuable tips here. With MacBook Pro EFI locks I just replace the MXIC chip with a little hot air and solider, the reprogrammed replacement chips are available on ebay.

Quickest way is the site you already tried but since that didn't work for you there are two other pretty easy ways that should work and aren't too invasive.

Locate the 2-pin password connector (PSWD) on the system board, remove the 2-pin jumper plug, locate the 2-pin CMOS jumper (RTCRST) on the system board, move the 2-pin jumper plug from the password jumper to pins into the CMOS jumper, plug in AC power to the system and wait ten seconds for the CMOS to clear, move the 2-pin jumper plug back to the password jumper, replace the laptop case and turn it on.

Spoiler:

Jumper 1 = RTCRST Jumper (Resets the BIOS) Jumper 2 = PSWD Jumper (Resets the BIOS Password)

or you can just remove all power supplies (battery as well) then remove the CMOS battery and do a power discharge (hold power button for 10 secs) then reinsert the CMOS battery.

Good luck.

So here is what I ended up doing to bypass the BIOS Master Password:

I used this site: http://www.biospassword.tech/
Gave them the model number, service tag and paid $20
got an unlock code in about an hour

It's good to know that this service did In fact work. Thanks for that.

There's also backdoor/default BIOS password lists floating around the net.
Here's a few:
