He's lucky the other person didn't take his comment on board, to the point of resorting to physical violence.

A comment of that nature, can lead to serious consequences.

Honestly, racism is just unavoidable. There will always be someone who can't accept the fact that there are people that look different than him/herself.

I do know this is terrible and if someone did this they should be serverely punished. However, something that's been left out here...

Turns out the waiter faked the tip and wrote the message himself. Racism is bad enough but damn so is false accusation.

coming from someone whos seen the guts of blacks, whites, browns, yellows... there isnt a god damn difference. we all bleed red. and the only reason people are still racist, is because we have so many enablers and facilitators in our society. if one had more experience, less ignorance, we would in fact have less racism.

I grew up with a racist father. his hatred for Blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims was out of sheer ignorance. I struggled to explain: its not the Muslim faith that is the terrorist. its radicalization. and on that front, the whites are the worst of all historically speaking imo. religions are just another indoctrination to this radical path of separation. in which not only did i study in university, but in real life.

my first REAL confrontation with racism was in the Army. and I stood up for the black kid against a mob of stupid ass white kids... you think Im gonna get my ass kicked? no... and in fact, I was able to deescalate the situation. but that cost me too, as I was now a target. I dealt with it in the night in the barracks ... and I never had that issue again. I think it comes from within, to beat the stupidity out of not only yourself, but others around you. If you realize something is wrong, stand up, and make it loud enough so EVERYONE around you can hear it. I befriended Thortan and we really hit it off. He was a really cool dude and I will never regret sticking up for him.

I know why racism exists. Anyone who took basic psychology in college should also know. a four lettered word, can simplify racism. I will give you all a hint. starts with F and ends with R...

why are people so intent on destroying that which they lack an understanding of. ^ again... four letter word, F . . R ... I know you all know what Im talking about.

Ignorance breeds hatred of all kinds and emotionally speaking, neurologically speaking, F . . R is the reason. what bothers me is, humans lack the will to search for understanding and lack the will to change. We choose to be this way, and it doesn't have to be that way. its not written in our genes. Harvard and Yale and Cambridge universities have done ample research and proven this. WE ARE NOT BORN RACIST> maybe monkeys and ants are... yes, they will fight tribe vs tribe and have not changed over the millennia. but humans are MORE intelligent. we teach this garbage... its in our tv, our comic books, its in every aspect or institution we face starting as soon as you and I were born.
