I've been following this game since it appeared at E3 in 2016. In a nutshell, Cuphead is a side scrolling, bullet hell boss rush-style game with what looks like a few roguelike qualities (e.g. item builds). I've gotten really into bullet hell games recently (mainly Enter the Gungeon, which is just as punishing) so it's even more appealing to me now.

Has anyone purchased it? If so, how has it been? I've seen some gameplay and it looks fun, but really hard.

I've heard of it before, and it seems its getting more and more attention now, it defintly seems worth a shot. If I will be trying this out, I'll leave a review here.

I've been wanting to get it because of the unique artstyle. Pretty sure I'd get burnt out, as I've never been great at platformers or games of this variety .

The artwork is amazing, the gameplay is hard. It's addictive & fun. Nothing else can describe it.

We've been passing this game around at work, coworker bought it for the XBone and most of us on break will sit down with it - it's damn fun, I will say the first run was a bit hard, but it's not too hard to clear all the bosses in 45 minutes tops on Expert.

Maybe if it goes on sale for $5-10 I'll buy my own copy, but now that I've got patterns down it's just way too easy to justify paying the current price as it's not that much gameplay.

Speed runners have been destroying the game, I think current record is on hardmode, for 23 mins, Well that's what it was last month at least.
