So I spend some time in the UK and I spend some time in the states.

I notice quite a few differences such as language and social customs but there are some minor things that most people aren't aware of.

Example would be watching the NHL last night, the adverts were cheesy and often for a large variety of services from life insurance to item storage.

In the UK it's mostly advertisement for other TV shows, life insurance for the elderly and sometimes gambling / drinking adverts

Anyone else noticed any differences like that between cultures? I'd be curious to hear about cultures outside the US & UK and how their media differs.
