Another grammar mistake that is very common is using has instead of have, in a plural context.
When the subject is singular, you use has. If the subject is plural, you use have. Examples:
"The majority of people have no clue what to do if such a disaster were to occur."
"Two-thirds of the population have iPhones" (emphasis is on the number of people, so it's plural)
"She has done a good job".
