This image really made me change how the way I look at it. Not because it's a cartoon, but of what he said. Don't you think he has some kind of a point?
That the important thing is how you mold your life of what you're gonna be.

That sounds like some hippy crap. Of course the circumstances of your birth will have an effect on you. If your parents don't have the means or wherewithal to support you and provide for your education etc, you won't be as likely to succeed. You also may end up being predisposed to things like alcoholism and drug addiction if your parents were into that type of thing.
