Chrome Extension #1
I am using Chrome browser for normal browsing but I need a secure layer to protect or hide my browsing activity from my ISP and allow me to access geo restricted content. One of my friend suggest me to use a vpn extension for all of these purposes. Recently I searched many review sites and user opinions and finally, come on the decision that PureVPN extension is much better than other provider. It offers more than 30 countries servers with hundreds of IP addresses.

Moved from The Lounge forum to Anonymity.

That aside, rather than a browser extension, you can use a VPN software/service such as NordVPN, IPVanish, ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, ZenMate or Windscribe- all of which are very stable and serve their purpose extremely well.

You are right! But I preferred to test, first. Because after multiple free trial testing, you can easily decided which you have to choose. There are few that allow free trial for a day or more for new users like
protonvpn.com
cyberghostvpn.com/en_US
purevpn.com/trial.php
tunnelbear.com

Absolutely.

Testing will allow you to make an Informed decision with the VPN that suits your needs.

From an personal experience point of view, I've quite liked NordVPN. I don't have massive experience on using VPNs, but I found NordVPN to be pretty solid. I had no issues with it and it was so easy to use.

I definitely agree with NordVPN.

I've tested and personally used the majority of VPNs, and can confidently say that NordVPN Is one of the most stable and responsive.

FREE solution could be to use Tor browser if you only need to secure your internet browsing (no usage of other application requiring anonymized internet access) :

=> torproject.org

With a VPN you will anonymize all your traffic

Depending of what you need you may also consider Tor Portable version and also using Tails distribution using an USB stick

You can use a tool named Tallow, to route all traffic on your PC through the Tor network.

I've tested It a while back and It does the job well.
