I don't know about that. A lot what these companies do is machine/deep learning. That's a step towards A.I. but not A.I. Machine learning is just a part of AI. It doesn't surprise me though, the fight for the best technology will always be there.

For me the most scaring thing is not who, but when. Also we know Chinese for doing crazy stuff from cloning animals (and maybe people lmao) to A.I. so most probably they will be the first to create something scary.
Yes I'm scared of A.I. I think about it as the Matrix.
