I'm just curious. Also, how long would you live on for if you get stabbed in the carotid artery? Is it instant?

Just an educated guess (I swear I'm not a murderer), you would probably choke/gag on all the blood and wouldn't be able to do much more than cough. Death isn't instant, but it's fairly quick and I would assume quite painful.

There's a couple of carotid arteries, opposite each other from right to left.

Medically, I haven't researched It, but In terms of death from a stab wound, It may depend which of the two Is affected.
