Can you change your life with positive thoughts? 12-27-2013, 04:09 AM

I have been watching "The Secret". It's a DVD with experts who preach 'the law of attraction'. In other words, what you think affects the level of life you achieve.
Part of me believes what they are saying, but the other part of me thinks that 'stuff happens' and that's not much a person can do about them.
What are your thoughts?

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on how much thinking you put into it. I think it is possible because once you change your state of mind and the way you think and see things, situations in your life can also change because you have changed your state of mind. I have tried to change things in my life, such as an anxiety disorder and depression, but mental illnesses are different and cannot be easily changed. But other things, such as how successful you want to be in life, can be changed by changing your thoughts.

Honestly life depends on who you are and how you think. That's what it boils down to.

I sure think so, but I'm not sure what you mean by positive thoughts. If you mean, inherently, the basis of an increase of mental and physical well-being of a sentient being, then there is a chance that I agreed with you preferentially favorably.

If you are reffering to thinking in a Half full way, then yes, obviously the outlook on life would change dramtically.
