Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7-8750H 2,2GHz - 4.1 GHz
GeForce GTX 1060 (1152 cores) - 6GB
16 GB RAM

I mean these specs aren't the best but I should be able to run AC in high?

You're actually way above the recommended specs to run the game. This sounds like an issue with heat or just bloat on your laptop.

First, you should try either FPS Monitor or MSI Afterburner and use their onscreen displays to show your CPU and GPU temps in game.

Afterwards you should check how high your CPU, RAM, and Disk usages are while idling. If they are consistently high, that means you're running to much extra in the background. This can definitely hinder your performance while gaming.

CPU and GPU are around 80-92 Celcius lmao. I guess I gotta replace the thermal paste.

Edit: Also for your cooling, thermal paste may not be the issue. It is a hot summer. How many case fans do you have? And have you touched fan curves at all? Not to mention dust can significantly impact temps.

I've bought some cheap thermal paste in a local electric shop it was like 3 euro or something and I've applied it like 5 months ago. I don't know about the fans because it's a laptop. MSI GF-62 8RE.
Also the dust I've removed that also like 5 months ago.

Can you show what your usage is like when the game isn't running? I have a similar spec on my laptop and sometimes when I've my browser open, and other apps, the game runs like horseshit.

If it's a laptop those aren't even surprising temps, gaming laptops aren't overly well designed for thermals. Your best bet would be making sure you're gaming in a well ventilated area, without setting the PC on any fabrics like bed sheets or your couch. Additionally you could buy a cooling mat for your laptop to set on when gaming/when it gets hot.
