Can anyone show me how to make an Okay Userbar.

I've seen some videos on how to make them, but my userbars turn out weird:

What videos did you watch? I think the worst bit is the bevels.

It's better if you make the userbar from scratch but using pen tool can be annoying.

It feels like they could need a bit more shading or a metallic shine.
Maybe trying out adding thin white outlines wouldn't be a bad idea either. Not quite sure though.
