why did they do that ? if its on fire or frozen or the weight have a cow camo or a what ever . . . the look of the weight doesn't matter.

My vote is stupidity on top of boredom. At least they were smart enough to lay down a mat to catch the inflamed weight pieces dripping off.

This almost looks like me bench pressing. I move the barbell so fast, that the friction turns the weights on fire.
