Im not sure, but i would like to have a button bumping your thread...
If you go to www.powerbot.org/community
Then make your own thread, you will notice a bumping button which bumps the thread to the top of the list.

And you can only bump it like every 3 hours or so

I don't think every 3 hours is a long enough interval, maybe once a week. And you should have to pay points. Otherwise I don't think it's that fair.
