My 2020/2021 has been eventful... #1
Well this has been one hell of a year guess I'll go talk about some stuff that happened

- quit high school in 2020 officially after not attending for around 100 ish days
- started going to therapy twice a week to help with my social issues/depression
- fixed my relationship with my parents
- got diagnosed with asperger which cleared up a lot of stuff for me
- started working in the CryptoCurrency industry and turned 3 figures into 7+ figures
- Completely stopped SE from big companies to get some extra cash which is still an achievement in my opinion lol
- Paid off both my sisters their student debts

All in all this has been one hell of a time, haven't been on here as much since I started this journey so just wanted to hop by and see how everyone is! (make sure to tell me)

That certainly is a great achievement after a difficult beginning. I am having an average year. Luckily my job is secure and that in itself is a big relief. To be honest, not a great year for achievement.

Nothing wrong with keeping things simple, it's what I'm planning to do for a while now, just travel a bit and enjoy an average life.

I have been in a similar spot in yours and wished someone told me this. Without sadness, there will be no happiness, and what goes up must come down.

3 to 7 figures makes cryptocurrency seem very lucrative.. Any learning resources that you could advise, to get a brother started up in crypto?

Without sadness, there will only be happiness.

But I do know what you mean.

I can get all philosophical on you and everything but.....

If there was only happiness, will we ever understand what happiness is?
If there was only light, would we ever understand what light is?

In order to differentiate between light and dark is that both have to coexist together for them to be classified. Same for happiness, will we ever understand what happiness is without sadness? So the statement of there will be ONLY happiness is a bit contradicting due to the fact that if only happiness were to exist then there will be no such thing as happiness but a void of emotion. My statement indicated otherwise, if sadness were to never exist then happiness will never be acknowledged or understood...

Anyways I was gonna write a whole essay around this topic just because of that but my noodles are getting cold.

I'm not referring to "understanding", but rather the absence of one element makes the other exist. That Is, If there's no sadness, there will only be happiness. If there's no darkness, there will only be light. And so on and so forth.

It's pretty much common sense.

I dont know how to phrase it but here is a simple equation

If x represents light and y represents darkness then the equation may go along as this

x-x=y  subtracting light from light will result in y which is darkness.
Now imagine if we didnt have y.
x-x=
to balance the equation we move the x to the other side
x=x
by this equation x can be anything, it can be 0 or 10000000 so the equation will always be true. Therefore, x can never be distinguished.
Same applies to real life. If sadness were to never exist, happiness will never be distinguished or recognized. Therefore it will be emptiness not happiness.
Another example, if the world were to be filled by only women and no men, that world would be filled with no gender. Moreover, in order for one thing to exist there must be something that distinguishes it.

I understand where you're coming from and I'm not disagreeing In any way, shape, or form.

You're discussing It from a personal perspective, whereas I'm referring to an existing commodity.
